Inserting Diary Bookings

There are a couple of ways in which a diary booking can be inserted into a customer record.

First Method

  1. open the job
  2. click on the ‘diary’ icon (just above the parts grid)
  3. find the day you would like to insert the booking into, and then click on the day name inside the grey header i.e. “Friday 16/03/2018”
  4. choose the desired engineer from the drop-down
  5. complete the following fields:
am/pm: this lets you assign the booking as an am (8am-1pm), pm (12pm-5pm), ev (5pm-7pm) or all day (8am-5pm)
time: if you prefer to give timed appointment slots (optional)
notes: any notes you wish to pass onto the engineer for this specific visit i.e. “after 9:15am”
  6. click ‘insert’

Second Method

If you already know the day, time slot, and engineer you would like to assign the booking to then you can follow this quicker process:

  1. open the job
  2. click on the ‘diary insert’ button (just above the parts grid)
  3. choose the desired engineer from the drop-down
  4. complete the following fields:
am/pm: this lets you assign the booking as an am (8am-1pm), pm (12pm-5pm), ev (5pm-7pm) or all day (8am-5pm)
time: if you prefer to give timed appointment slots (optional)
notes: any notes you wish to pass onto the engineer for this specific visit i.e. “after 9:15am”
  5. click ‘insert’

Handy Tip!

If you would like to give your engineer multiple diary bookings for a job, simply insert multiple diary visits for the same day and timeslot.

If you would like to assign multiple engineers to the same job (maybe you need two engineers to attend together) simply follow the above process for each engineer.
