Diary management is a core feature of IGLO and one that has been designed in a specific manner to promote productivity and efficiency.
The diary management module consists of the following views:
- Diary View
- Plan View
- Maps Views
Each view will offer you a different insight and using a combination of the views allows you to ensure your engineer’s have the most efficient route as possible.
Diary View
This screen will show you all of your engineer’s and the jobs allocated to them for the next five (5) working days. You can view a different week by clicking on the “prev” and “next” buttons, or by selecting a date from the drop-down date picker.
You can open the Diary View by clicking on either of the “calendar” icons located in the Accordion or on a customer repair job screen
Plan View
This allows you to quickly check the next suitable date/time you can attend to a customer’s repair; a date convenient for your business based around the existing repair visits you have scheduled in.
Maps Views
These provide you with a quick geographical visual of your existing scheduled visits. These screens are a great way to reduce multiple engineers’ routes overlapping.
Repair companies often operate under a strict postcode territory policy. For example a business may cover SG postcodes but not CM. This means they would normally be turning away business from customers in CM postcodes.
However, these map views will highlight opportunities that the business may have otherwise turned away. For example; they could cover jobs in Harlow (CM postcode) when they have an engineer in the Ware area (SG postcode) as these are located right next to one another.
Another example could be if an engineer lives in a postcode that the business does not cover. By utilising these map views the business could take on repair jobs that fall into an engineer’s route into work/on the way home.
